The British Heart Foundation's Health at Work seminars 17 and 22 March, Birmingham and London
The seminars will help you familiarise yourself with our Health at Work programme and find out how you can apply it to your workplace. At the seminars, you'll:
- find out more about the BHF Health at Work programme
- see examples of successful workplace health programmes
- be involved in facilitated discussions
- get ideas for promoting physical activity, healthy eating and/ or mental wellbeing
- meet other Health at Work members
- get a free Think fit! pack.

Walk to Work Week 2010 26- 30 April 2010
Walk to Work Week is a fun, free event which motivates people to get fit, be active and enjoy their commute!
This year, it's all about ‘Get fit without the hassle' - you can try walking part or all of your journey to or from work, or walking more during the working day. You will earn ‘rewards', be entered into prize draws and enjoy some truly healthy competition with your colleagues! Online registration opens on 29 March, but in the meantime you can keep up to date by signing up to our e-Bulletin.
There are already a whole range of supporting materials available too, with pedometers, umbrellas, footcare kits, posters and leaflets to help you get your colleagues motivated. Ordering closes on 19 March, so make sure your workplace doesn't miss out - to place an order visit our online shop.

Hyde Park Gigs June/July 2009
The Walking Works campaign had a stall at the Hyde Park gigs and Wireless music festivals, where we urged music-loving members of the public to pledge to walk a bit further and walk off the calories in the nation's favourite ice creams, see our ice cream calculator here.

Walk to Work Week 2009
The first ever Walk to Work Week (27 April - 1 May 2009) was a great success, with nearly 5000 employees and 550 workplaces taking part. Find out more about the 2009 events and keep your eyes peeled for Walk to Work Week 2010!

VIP Day, Oxford Street - 6 December 2008
The Living Streets team hit Oxford Street armed with pledge cards, a stall and heaters, to make full use of its temporary pedestrianisation! We were asking people to pledge to walk for all or part of their journey to work with a whopping 358 people pledging to do so! We were giving away free mince pies in the process to celebrate the launch of our walking calculator. Despite the cold, it was a successful day all round!
