Living Streets works to bring our streets to life, with more walking in people-friendly places. We campaign on everything from pavement parking to speed limits.
Get involved and help make your local streets the perfect place to wander.
Living Streets campaigns include:
- Our manifesto: in the run-up to the general election, we have put together a summary of our main policy calls for all those who suport our aims to use in campaigning to bring our streets to life
- 20 mph campaign: Living Streets, together with our local activists, is launching a new campaign to push for default 20mph within individual local authorities wherever people live, work or play. Download loads of great campaigning resources using the link above
- Pavement parking: If pavement parking is causing problems in your neighbourhood, Living Streets can help
- Local campaigns: Join your local Living Streets group, and you'll meet people from your own community who are working to improve your neighbourhood
- Fitter for Walking: If you live in one of the five areas in England which have been designated as part of the Fitter for Walking project, you can get involved to help create streets that local residents can be proud of, and want to use more for making local trips
- Join the Walk to School campaign: Living Streets run the Walk to School campaign; so if you've got kids and want to start walking with them then get involved and take part in Walk to School Week in May or Walk to School Month in October. We also run the WoW scheme (Walk on Wednesday)- find out more by visiting the website
