If you have concerns about the streets in your area, here’s what you can do:
- Complain about a pavement problem on the Direct Gov website
- If your path to work has been gated (closed off) by the council, do something about it by contacting the 'Unlocking Neighbourhood Paths' campaign
- Report the problem to your local council – find details on their website, then phone, write or email them about your issue
- Fix My Street will chase your council for you – simply enter your postcode and tell them all about the problem. They'll send it to the council for you, and will keep in touch till you get a response
- Get your local councillor on side. He/she is elected by your local community and is there to represent its views. Find your local councillor here
- Join your Living Streets' local group and if there isn't one - set one up yourself! Our local groups are a network of campaigners working in their own communities to create living streets. If you want more information, get in touch with our Supporter Development Coordinator on
